Brain Based Safety has published two books written by Juni Daalmans in the field of safety management. The first book (2017) examines the question why employees are willing to take a risk in the boss’s time that can injure or even kill them, while the gain of that risk is only minimal. The titel of this book is “Safe Work Behavior with Brain Baseed Safety”. The second book (2019) focuses on the role of the first-line supervisor and describes what he can do to promote the safe behavior of his employees. Both books are shown below. They can be ordered via the bookstore or by sending us an email.

Book 1. The First-line Supervisor and Safe Work Behavior

the first-line supervisor and safe work behavior

The book is written especially for the first line supervisor, knowing that this group is not a real fan of reading a lot and likes to have directly applicable tips and tangible examples. The book has 123 pages and starts with a case in the chemical industry. This case is used on almost every page to clarify the main message of the book. The main sources of safety-incidents (technology, regulations and behaviour) can be recognized, although the focus is mainly on the behaviour of the leaders and the effect on the employees.
